Cincinnati Youth Choir is looking for accompanists and directors for our Cincinnati Choral Academy (CCA). Please contact Julie Brumback, Director of Cincinnati Choral Academy

Accompanist

The Cincinnati Choral Academy (CCA), a program of Cincinnati Youth Choir, May Festival Chorus and Vocal Arts Ensemble, seeks qualified accompanists for afterschool choirs at partnering Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS).
Choir schedules and locations TBA, but generally meet T/ TH 2:30-4:00. Payment will be $35/ hourly.

Directors

The Cincinnati Choral Academy (CCA), a program of Cincinnati Youth Choir, May Festival Chorus and Vocal Arts Ensemble, seeks qualified choir directors for afterschool choirs at our partnering Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS). A background and experience in teaching in music education is required. Choir schedules and locations TBA, but generally meet T/ TH 2:30-4:00. Payment will be $75/ hourly.

Join CYC Board of Directors

Cincinnati Youth Choir is looking for leaders who want to support youth and choral music to join our board of directors. We are seeking those with knowledge in any of the following: music, non-profit management, finances, human resources, marketing, fundraising.

Board Members are asked:

  1. To ensure the financial health and longevity of the organization and further its artistic goals through policy and financial trusteeship.
  2. To attend regular Board meetings (four annually) and serve on a standing committee in an area of your expertise or interest.
  3. To be available to give assistance and advice to the Board and Staff on issues in which you have special experience or expertise.
  4. To attend, at minimum, CYC’s Winter, March and Spring concerts and special events.
  5. To support the organization financially by pledging a minimum donation of $300.00.
  6. To represent CYC to your friends, associates and potential grantors in the spirit of active advocacy.

Donations directly support essential program needs, such as hiring skilled accompanists and teaching artists, purchasing new music, and ensuring children have access to high-quality choral education. Contributions also help fund performance attire, transportation for engagement programs, and scholarships for young musicians. Larger gifts enable us to commission new choral works and bring in guest artists for residencies, enriching our singers’ education and expanding their artistic horizons.
