CYC Crescendo Project

Offering children of all backgrounds the opportunity to experience musical excellence in a creative environment is an integral part of the CYC mission.  Our participants demonstrate the knowledge gained, experience a sense of accomplishment, and cultivate greater self-esteem. The CYC education team and Board of Directors have seen the long-term benefits in a young person’s life who has experienced community through musical excellence.

CYC envisions a thriving global community strengthened and transformed by music artistry.  Toward that vision, CYC strives to support the efforts of music educators in the Tristate region. Crescendo Project strives to share CYC vision, philosophies, and teaching techniques by supporting teachers and choral professionals in ways that best suit their individual needs helping to promote choral artistry throughout the region.

Teachers, school districts, and arts organizations are invited to experience CYC philosophies by bringing a CYC teaching artist into their program FREE OF CHARGE. Individually, educators may choose to receive one-on-one discussion and exploration. For groups, schools may choose to have a CYC teaching artist work with their students/choir or share during a district wide teacher development workshop.

Teacher Advisory Board

The Cincinnati Youth Choir’s Teacher Advisory Board (TAB) consists of educators from diverse school districts across the Tri-State area. This dedicated committee collaborates with CYC to strengthen connections within the Greater Cincinnati community of music educators.

With insights from current teachers from the TAB, CYC builds stronger ties within the local music education community. Central to this mission are professional development opportunities and networking sessions with TAB throughout the year. These events are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participating educators and facilitate meaningful exchanges of ideas and best practices.

By engaging with TAB, CYC ensures that its programs and initiatives are informed by the latest educational trends and insights. The board members contribute invaluable perspectives gained from their frontline experience in diverse educational settings. This collective expertise enables CYC to offer relevant and impactful resources that support the development of young musicians across the region.

Through ongoing collaboration and mutual learning, TAB ensures that CYC continues to be a dynamic resource for music educators, empowering them to inspire the next generation of young singers.
